In the previous episode, we talked about laying the basics, preparation the skin. Today, we are going to focus on the the most alluring elements of a woman's face: The eyes and lips.

Eyes

Eyes are one of the most beautiful and noticeable feature of any face. Therefore, when it is time for cosmetics, you certainly cannot deny the importance of a proper eye makeup application. Eyes are of different shapes and colors, and therefore, the makeup that you choose for your eyes would be largely different from that of the others. Before considering your eye makeup, you must think about your requirements specifically, so that it can match your skin complexion and the color of your wardrobe. Being a woman, you must always remember that it is your eye makeup, and its application which draws attention first. However, there are a few important things that you need to remember before you start applying your eye makeup. You must always keep in mind that you should concealer before you apply any makeup around your eyes. This will hide the blemishes in the eye area. Often you can also use of a highlighter to make your eyes look brighter. The trend of the 1950s was to have neutral eye shadows that were set off by heavy eyeliner. Choose a light brown or taupe eye shadow as a wash for your lid, a light color to highlight your brow bone and a darker brown to contour your eye. Apply the wash using an eye shadow applicator, and apply the darker color in the crease of your eyes. Apply the light color to your brow bone and blend the colors together.

Line your eyes with a black liquid eyeliner. Create a the cat-eye look by lining just the top lash line, with the line getting a littler wider right above your pupil. This will make your eyes appear bigger. Finally, continue the line out and do a little quick swipe up to create the “swoop” at the outer edge of your eye. Apply some face powder to the ends of your eyelashes, this will add make the eyelashes appear thicker and longer. Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler and then apply a coat of mascara. Allow the coat to dry and apply a second coat.

Lips

Irrespective of whether you are fashion conscious or not, every person is aware of lipstick when it comes to makeup for women. Among the vast cosmetic selections, this is an important component, and the majority of women apply it daily. These are many companies that currently produce lipstick. Most manufactures make it available in different shades and colors. You must always purchase the which compliments your skin tone and ensemble. At the same time, it is essential to purchase a good quality if you're looking for a long lasting application.  Though it is quite common for women to apply lipstick, yet there are many people who do not know how to apply it properly. The nature of application of lipstick should always be dependent on the plumpness of your lips. Begin by dabbing on a very small amount of lip balm or petroleum jelly to give your lips a little moisture. Using a lip pencil the same color as your lips, fill in the area of your cupid’s bow. This will give the effect of plump, pillowy lips. Apply lipstick from the tube or by using a firm, small lipstick brush. Coat the lips evenly. Blot to remove any excess color and to even out the texture.

Using a brush, apply a light, shimmery eye shadow in the corners of your eyes, along the bridge of your nose, the tops of your cheek bones, above your cupid’s bow and the middle of your bottom lip. Now, you are ready for your close-up!
