Get your name out there: New York City Subway Stairs

Take a talented filmmaker and a rather upsetting public issue and there you go: with a bit of inspiration you might get national awareness with not that much effort.
Meet Dean Peterson, a Brooklyn based filmmaker who noticed how people kept tripping over this one step as they were exiting New York City's Sunset Park 36th Street subway station. So he did a short video about it, capturing 17 people as they trip over and over that particular step that proved to be slightly (to be more exact, 10 inches) higher than the rest.
The video got national coverage via CNN and many other news channels and it didn't take long for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to take action. Just a day after the video got viral, the station was closed for repairs.
